Green loading screen stuck

So iv had my day one edition since release and had no problems at all. Played battlefield last night and iv come to turn it on this evening and its stuck on the green screen. Iv tried unplugging iv tried holding the button in for 10 seconds and waiting 10
min and still nothing. Whats happened has an update bricked it

Microsoft better be ready to repair this free i shud not be having to pay to repair a £400 console 2 years into its life.

December 2014 Update - Patch Notes?

I got that same update now xbox stuck on main green loading screen what gives

 

xbox dashboard preview cratered my xb1.

my xb1 loads up. it's getting power.. but i'm stuck on the green loading screen. HELP!

Same here. Was prompted for an update, it finished to a black screen. Waited 20 minutes. Did a hard reset, now at the green screen for over 20 minutes. Any help???

 

Same issue here as well. Looking for a fix. Xbox stuck on green loading screen after turning black while updating. Had to hard reset, now it will not work.

same issue was kicked offline to update did so after update black screen for 20m did a hard reboot now stuck on green screen. download offline update tool. Will update if it solves the issue

 

I can confirm this is happening on mine as well.

 

Same issue. No PC or usb stick to try and use the offline update tool. I'm out of luck and very unhappy.

 

also having this issue. Woke up to a never-ending green screen. This is something that needs to be fixed by Microsoft NOW!

 

My box was working fine last night before I went to bed and now it won't budge off the green screen

You really should post in the forums for the preview for info and help,

If you get "group not found" reply back and a member of staff will sort your access out.

Someone from the staff should be along to check and enable your preview forum access,

In the mean time you could try hard resetting your xbox but remove any USB devices attached eg: external hard drive, kinect and make sure you don't have a disc in the drive, before re-starting it.

This has worked for some with the same issue. If that doesn't work you can use the " Restore Factory Defaults" tool found here

It will wipe you hard drive so you'll need to download your profile,games and apps if you don't have them on an external drive after.
