Green light wont turn on

I am sure he has tried syncing his controllers, I am having the same problem with my xbox 360 Elite. Everything was fine one moment I shut down the console and when I go to get back on the power light does not come on. The controller I have plugged in starts
to light up but fails to find the console and turns off, or just sits there searching for an indefinite amount of time. The Console still loads up and my kinect still powers on. I have tried to sync the controllers but nothing changes. If Anyone could help
with a fix that would be great. If it makes any difference my Xbox is the one with touch sensitive power and eject buttons.

Have you synced the controller to the Xbox 360 system? Turn on the Xbox 360 system and controller, on top of the controller there should be a small button, hold that button. On the White Xbox 360 or Black Xbox 360 elite, there should be a button too, press
it and your controller should sync up with the Xbox, the controller will confirm this by flashing.

On the Xbox 360 slim, the button is located inside the USB bay.

Like sM4llziE Said , have you tried syncing your controller to your xbox 360 ? . if not try these steps in order to do that, if that doesn't help try changing the batteries or charging it if you have the play & charge kit. if that doesn't work either it
try connecting other controllers if possible. if other controller's work then you have a defective controller and you should contact 1800-4MY-XBOX for a replacement request. and also just a note all accessories that come with your xbox 360 have a 90 day warranty.

I just turned on my xbox 360 today and the same thing is happening. Has anyone found out what the answer is? I'm not getting any lights on the console but the tv shows that the title screen and an update screen. So I know that the console is booting up and
working. The controller is not connecting.
