Green light on the front of the power button keeps blinking rapidly

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their 360?

After I turn on my console the center light of the power button will start flashing rapidly.

I am not inserting a disk or even have one in the tray. If I am in the middle of playing a downloaded game

or in the middle of netflix it will just stop everything it is doing and just take me back to the home screen of

xbox 360.

I can temporarily resolve the light blinking by opening and closing the tray and it will stop blinking and stay steady until i restart the system again.

If anyone else has run into this problem it would be great to know I am not alone in this, and also what you have

possibly done to resolve this seems to be software glitch.

Blinking green lights on my slim

On my Xbox 360 slim power button lights 1, 3, and 4 are blinking green. What does this mean?

Flashing green light on shut down.

I have an Xbox 360 Slim and when I go to turn off my Xbox with the button on the front it makes it go off on the screen but the middle green light keeps flashing on the Xbox for about 5 minutes. Also on the power box the light stays on green and doesn't
go to orange after that light goes off.

Your button is broken, you need to make sure that it isn't jammed--if it's a phat console, then remove the faceplate. If it's a slim or super slim, you're out of luck as the sensor is broken and your console will need to be serviced.

You know when the console is on there is also a green light with the red light

If the red light is seen on the front of the console where the green light normally is, in the power button, that means you could have a hardware failure. The red light from the side as you shown does not mean that, it's most likely the DVD laser as I said.

When holding the sync buttons on the console and controller, the light blinks on the controller as if it is going through the syncing but then the light will start to blink steady or rapidly.........I did insert new batteries.....

Hey there, the power button starts to blink whenever the tray opens, so I don't think that relates to your issue:

Do you notice anything else, like a disc tray error or maybe check the light on the power supply? I've never come across this issues myself so just taking a few guesses there.

To clarify part of my last post...after powering off machine, it stops downloading (the slow blinking green light on power button stops blinking completely). The light only pulses about 3 times which is approx.12 seconds and then shuts down completely,
no more lights. Sorry for going on here just want to be as clear as possible. Thanks again!
