Pretty Good Read

Thanks for the links, the Phil Spencer interview was great, he is definitely the man for the job, nothing I've heard him say gets me worried about the future of Xbox One, he makes me look forward to what MS have in store.

 

Is Microsoft's stance XBOX One X Virtual Reality (VR)

Xbox Head Phil Spencer gave this interview, specifically about VR:

It is an interesting read, basically, the Xbox One X is capable, but they do not see the current state of VR/MR being in line with what they want for the "Family Room" type of arena that the Xbox plays in.

 

Hopefully Phil keeps going like he is. Open and honest,traits not usually associated with MS. I think he is going to do the right things for the X1.

Interesting article but I think the interviewer mentions the competition more than they mentioned Xbox and related products. Seemed like there were some off-hand comments too.

Heaven forbid a journalist asks about the competition.

 

I don't mind that they asked about the competition but it seemed to me to "Well Sony and Nintendo do this, what say you, Xbox?" The condescension was palpable.

 

That's not an interview; it's a discussion. Interviews have someone asking someone else questions; this guy was not asking Phil Spencer specific or direct questions - he actually did more talking than Phil did, and was even trying to put ideas into his head!
That in itself made the article a bit disappointing for me. He was lucky to get as much info out of Phil as he did...
