    Graphics issues on all Xbox series x enhanced games only. Why?


    When playing XSX enhanced or XSX series games on my XSX the graphics always seem display either black blocks and this then bleeds into the screen and the whole screen will go black. This never seems to happen on previous gen games. This has been happening for almost a year now and seems to be getting worse.

    Should mention that I sent my XSX for repair last year and then they sent me a new one and this problem had been happening ever since.

    Have spent all day yesterday speaking to a Microsoft agent trying to get this sorted a d have exhausted all possible sm suggestions but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help?

    HI,

    This an Xbox One X enhanced game. But to get the enhancement you'll need either a Xbox One X or either one of the newer Series X|S machines. The Series S is a digital only console though.

    On an original Xbox One or One S, it will be the BC 360 game with no enhanced graphics.

    You'll get access to an enhanced version regardless of disc or digital, but you need the right console to be able play the enhanced version.

    We understand the inconvenience caused. As per description, you are experiencing graphics problems that leads you to a black screen.

    Let us check on this together and sort this out to assist your concern.


    There are a number of possible reasons why your screen may be blank after you turn on your console.

    If your TV screen remains blank or black when you start your Xbox console, first check your connection.

    • Confirm that both your TV and Xbox console are turned on.
    • Check that your TV is set to the correct input signal (HDMI).
    • Check that the HDMI cable connections to your console and to your TV are secure.
    • Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console.
    • Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.
    • Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV.
    • Try connecting your console to a different TV.
    • Power cycle your Xbox console: Press and hold the Xbox button  for 10 seconds to turn off the console, and then turn it on again.

    Will there be Xbox One X Enhancement patches on the Series X?

    I know that Series S can't use the XIX enhancements. I'm asking if the Series X
    will be using the XIX Enhancements. Thank you for taking the time to respond however.
    Yes, why wouldn't it be? Faster processor, graphics and more RAM (16 GB). I did already state in my previous reply that Series X will play X1X enhanced titles.

    Digital Foundry (a popular YouTube tech channel) have shown a video of Gears 5 running on Series X.

    Not only was Series X running the X1X Gears game, the developer has enhanced it again for Series X.
