    Graphics glitch


    There's a graphics glitch on my xbox. It happens on start up screen and whenever you go on to a game. The screen splits diagonally and the graphics kind of overlap so you can't see the middle part. Anyone know what I can do?

    Hi all,

    I was wondering if someone might be able to help/advise.

    While playing Watch Dogs today I noticed a weird graphics glitch after completing an online hack. When driving the screen blur had intensified, when I changed direction I had around double if not triple the motion blur you normally get with the game. I'm
    sure some of the textures on some vehicles seemed a bit off/corrupt too. I had to quit the game and restart before things returned to normal.

    I'm thinking this could be a sign of my console becoming faulty. The air coming out the console was warm as I'd expect but didn't seem to be any warmer than usual.

    Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

    I'm sorry you have this problem, researching on the internet I was able to find that in the forum, the independent advisor Gerardo, recommends the following steps for a solution.

    Please check if the problem is resolved as follows:

    1. With the Xbox on, press the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it turns off completely (keep your finger on the button even if the light has gone out before the 10 seconds are up, until the time is up). ).

    2. Unplug the power cord from the console and wait 30 seconds.

    3. Reconnect the power cable to your console and turn it on normally.

    If you look on other non official forums it's a really common problem with a semi-simple fix. Basically one or several solder connections between chips and the main board are failing because of uneven thermal load and solder type over hundreds or thousands
    of thermal cycles.

    Basically what you already found out is true you can have it repaired, but they won't be able to guarantee anything and you have no more warranty. You might be able to temporarily fix it or could sell it to someone who fixes and sells them. After that I
    would recommend a new Slim since it's a complete redesign that fixes major faults of the console.
