    Graphical issues on brand new Series X console


    I have received a new series X mid last week and have had an issue with it on numerous games, most prolific of which is Division 2 and Borderlands 3. After 20-30mins or so the graphics have a melt down and turn into a multi-colored disco (see attached pics). It's strange as the UI of these games seems unaffected but everything is impossible to play. It usually stays like this for a short while before the console shuts itself off. I have been unable to find reports of s similar issue. I have tried both another cable and another monitor and the problem has persisted

    First, welcome to the Xbox community. Unfortunately, I believe that it may be a hardware defect, probably GPU, given the problem that is being presented, as it is not normal for this to happen.

    Anyway, I suggest you read the article made by Microsoft below, for possible solutions.

    If none of the solutions given in the above article resolves the problem, I fear that you will need to return the console for a repair or replacement, to do this follow the instructions in the article below, please.

    Yeah, there are already 2 brand new consoles the Xbox series X and the Xbox Series S. I think that the new Xbox series X is amazing, but I expect it will be along time before a new console is develpoped.

    Again, this is a BRAND-NEW Xbox Series X, recently purchased, unopened, fresh out of the box, so for one, these issues should not be present, and two, I will not factory refresh the console. I LITERALLY just got it in the mail a few days ago. It looks brand-new, untouched.

    I am having this problem as well. Brand new series x, brand new controller, brand new batteries. System is up to date and so is the controller. Has to be a software issue, this does not happen on my Xbox One.
