Graphical glitches in Forza Horizon 4, Prey and Resident Evil 2

Using an Xbox One X. No funny problems on any other games, just these three. Light rays and water effects in Forza have a strange black shimmering over them, smoke particles in Resi 2 have the same effect but white, and Prey is borderline unplayable with
almost every texture in the game showing this problem too. It's almost as if textures are attempting to bleed through each other, with the roof showing the sky and clouds there.

Uninstalling the game does nothing, and I've tried with both a disc version and a digital copy. I've asked around and can't find any reference to this problem anywhere else. I hate to think it's just my hardware, as no other games display these problems
and I don't have access to any other consoles to test it out. The fact it appears directly on captures makes me think it's software related, but no matter what settings and resolutions I change in the console settings, it continues to persist. Any ideas?

Disabling HDR does nothing for me, but thanks for helping out.

I had artifacts in Forza and RDR2 and I disabled HDR from the dash and they went away.

Hi there,

I see you are using an Xbox one X, may I ask what is the in game resolution set to of the affected games. I have seen some posts on various sites regarding graphics issues and UHD TV's, and they fixed the problem by changing the in game resolution to either
1080p, or 720p.

Right, once more with feeling. I've reinstalled Prey because it's the only one I have on hand that won't take an entire day to put back into place. Dropped my resolution to 1080p, disabled HDR and have tried it out with both a raised and lowered colour depth
option. YCC 4:2:2 both enabled and disabled.

I sold my disc copy of Prey, so only have access to a digital copy. The exact same results each time. I paid £399 for this Xbox, and so far this version of Prey is poor in comparison to the PS4 Pro's version. I really can't understand why it's just these
three games, and why things a bit more intensive like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Far Cry 5 are clean and clear experiences.

In short: nothing I can do to troubleshoot short of a factory reset (which I don't particularly want to do) works.

I appreciate that you both reached out and tried to help. It does however say in the original post that reinstalling does nothing, and changing resolution only makes Prey slightly blurrier.

You may want to uninstalled and reinstalled the games again, and I had the same issues not too long ago.
