Graphic card apparently supported - can't use DVR to record

I have an AMD Radeon HD 7670M, so why can't I record anything using the DVR? From the Xbox website:

• AMD: AMD Radeon HD 7000 series, HD 7000M series, HD 8000 series, HD 8000M series, R9 series, and R7 series.
  

I don't understand why. I have the latest version of the Xbox App (7.7.29027.00000), the latest updates from Windows and the latest drivers for the graphics card. I can stream okay in high quality. It's pretty frustrating when it says my card is supported
when it doesn't even work. Is there something I'm missing? Is this a bug?

No way to allow Game DVR?

Hi,

It say that my device is not supported to record video or use the Game DVR... I know that my graphic card is the worst ever, but I still can record video with other software, so I don't understand why I can't use it. I understand that they can't allow me
to record in background, but they should allow me to record by myself.

i cant record my gameplay using game DVR

it is the first time i try to record a game using game DVR it say that my PC doesnt meet the requirements to record.

but when i googled it,It said that at lest i need R7 graphic card and i have r7 240

 

Is there a message that appears on screen or does it just not do anything?

Are you able to open the game bar by pressing Windows Key + G, then hitting the red button?

 

Sorry, should have said. In the settings under Game DVR it says "This PC is unable to record clips" and when I open the game bar, the record button is grey and when I click it, it says "Sorry, this PC does not meet the hardware requirements for recording
clips." I doubt it's my laptop seeing as I have an i7 3630QM, 6GB RAM and the graphic card in my OP.

 

Apparently I cant record either and I have the same problem as GrumpyHobNob

 

I have 2 PCs that have exact same hardware as each other, including video card ( ASUS ATI Radeon R7 240 ). Both have Windows 10 Pro (64 bit). BOTH have the same problem (DVR says "hardware is not supported") yet it SHOWS ( Radeon R7 video cards ARE supported).
There have been 2 updates to XBox app since release date. When will this be FIXED ???

Processor= Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (3GHz) Bios= HP 786G2 v02.02 06/23/11

Memory= 7GB - (1) 4GB + (3) 1GB (all are PC3 10600 DDR3 unbuffered)

Video Card= ASUS ATI/AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB DDR3 (Oland 128 Pro 5CU (chipset)

 

I have the same problem. I have an AMD Radeon R7 240 with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and I still can't record games with Game DVR.

Xbox, fix this please!

 

I have the same problem. I have AMD Radeon R7 200 Series.... XBOX fix it, please....

BTW ........... AMD has come out with Crimson Drivers, they work with DIRECTX 12, soooooo...........................

there should be NO reason that the RECORD function should NOT WORK now.

I feel like we are in that stupid 1990's ad ......... CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW ......... MICROSOFT ?????

 

Hey guys I have had the same problem with a GeForce card, but found that updating my graphics driver fixed the issue.

It looks like DefunkedBlues may have tried this already though given the last comment....sorry if it's not helpful!

 

I already had/have the most recent drivers installed. Still having issues with this though, even after all this time.

Yes... Tried drivers... and NO, it did NOT fix the problem.

BTW...... Mine is an ATI card and not a GeForce card.

IT is an EASY fix, if MICROSOFT would put 4 hours into it.

Update the internal database used by the XBOX APP that checks if the installed video card is on the list of compatible cards for video recording.

BTW.. the cards in question ARE listed as BEING COMPATIBLE, but they are not LISTED internally.

Soo.... the XBOX APP is denying access to the RECORDING options.
