    Can an 18 year old take over what was his childhood xbox account under his mom’s name as he wants to move out but is worried he will lose all his games and game history.

    Nothing can be transferred between accounts and it's not possible to transfer ownership of an account. So he would either have to continue using his mom's information or create a brand new account.

    Sorry to hear about the child account troubles.
    Allow me to answer your questions.

    First off, if you entered her mom's email, and it then prompted you to add a parent account, this means the mom's account age is under 18.

    As for sharing email accounts on Xbox Live, this has never been a feature. Each account must have their own address. As for reverting the mothers account, you cannot change the age of a Microsoft account.

    You say your account is now associated with the moms? How is it associated with your account?

    Let us know those details, and we can work from there.
