Grand Theft Auto V New-Gen Title Update Coming on Monday

Rockstar has declared that in preparation for Grand Theft Auto V's impending launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, a Title Update will be available for the game ahead of release by Monday, 17th November. The update will include various tweaks and optimisations
in time for day one.

"In order to experience the game properly, please make sure you install this Update before playing (like all Title Updates, it will be applied automatically as long as you are connected to the internet)," Rockstar writes in its

latest News Wire post.

"We will be looking closely at your feedback from the initial launch days on the new platforms to help inform other future dynamic tuning changes and Title Updates as always," Rockstar adds. "And get ready for continuing free content Updates for Grand Theft
Auto Online, including the highly-anticipated launch of Online Heists (which, to be absolutely clear, will be available for all four consoles to enjoy)."

Yes, Online Heists are still very much on the GTA Online agenda across all four consoles, while new-gen GTA Online will allow up to 30 players in Freemode and Crew convoys, as well as the new first-person mode, next-gen Character Creator and double the props
in the Creator Tool. Nice.

So Heists ARE indeed coming... ON ALL FOUR CONSOLES! Kinda had a feeling that Rockstar was going to wait for the next gen releases to bring out Heists etc. So now, everyone can quit complaining and be a little bit more patient.

Legend, Foresaken, Z4ZonE... if either of you make any of your usual snarkey comments or bring up shark cards, I'll have this thread locked and reports made on the three of you.

the good news is we will be able to play with up to 30 people. someone once told me that would be chaos, but I say bring it on. with gta5 as we know it the way it is today, 30 players wouldn't be so bad, because not every player is a crazy person who wants
to kill every player they see, so that is a major addition, or should I say improvement... anywho, im glad rockstar is talking about the heists again. and they also said there would still be free content, so I guess the shark cards really weren't supporting
the DLCs. the first person thing is completely new for gta, and the videos I have seen, it really reminds me of farcry 3 (which was an awesome game by the way) so im excited for that. My wife insists on getting it for the xbox one, I want it for the ps4, but

Or they got enough money off of shark cards to continue free DLC. So DLCs are still supported by Shark cards.

 

I thought they were for a long time till they said heist was coming out and we would continue to get free dlcs. and knowing rockstar, they are all about the money now days, so they must be getting the support for the free DLCs from something else.

The DLCs that come out with gta5 most of the time are really mostly updates. adding a car here and a gun there and maybe a shirt or 2 over there, shouldn't really be considered a DLC, because I know the bigger part of every DLC is the patches to stop glitches
and glitchers. I kinda wish they would just call it what it is, an update, considering the fact that you can not play online with out it.

I said this when they announced next gen, so what. Theres still no date and still no info about how they will even plan on releasing it. I believe that sales of next gen will dictate how they push it, if R* is happy with the numbers it will go live on all
4, if they feel they can nab a few more suckers then look for them to hold it back from last gens.

Good to see they are bringing them to all four consoles. Pretty lame they waited 'til One/PS4 come out before releasing them. They've probably been done for awhile and they've just been holding on for 'marketing reasons'. Still pretty excited for fps GTA
though.

honestly, FPS is all im really thinking about for gta5 on the new gen systems. it is legitimately a big step and a new way of playing gta. I can almost say for certain that anyone who loves farcry 2 or 3, will love this new feature. I wonder if they changed
the feel of the game on the xbox one. hopefully the whole first person feel, feels legit

 

The Far Cry's was the first games that came to mind to compare to. God I hope Ubisoft doesn't ruin Far Cry like they did Assassin's Creed. I just hope it isn't a feature that will just be 'annoying'.
