Grab Xbox One, Get $75 for Games & More

Today I turned on my Xbox 360 and see on the main Dashboard tile, "Grab Xbox One, Get $75 for Games & More" and so I click on it. I see the offer is from today 7/7/2014 to 7/31/2014.

I am in Canada and usually the Dashboard shows Canadian things. Although I can't find anything online anywhere about this. Is this offer only valid in the US and is showing up on my console by mistake or is it just an oversight in the text and it is available
in Canada?

Mass Effect: Genesis 2 now available

It's a cash grab, nothing more. It's a way to get uber fans to spend more money & casuals to get the 'full' experience... by spending more money.

 

I just turned it on and it was replaced with the "Xbox 360 Ultimate Games Sale" instead of the Xbox One promo that you mentioned.

One of the things that I guess the promo appeared for me is how I have been on Xbox Live for over 5 years. Possibly trying to target the "longer term users" into upgrading sooner rather than later which I was planning on upgrading in 2015 when Halo 5: Guardians
comes out.

Still no info since it has been all over the news feeds which they are also trying to "confirm the info."

 

The deal is valid in the US, Canada, and the UK. But it is not available to everyone just selected customers, so if you get the message you are one of the lucky ones, if not :-(. I hope this answers your question. It's valid from the 7 of July until the
31st of July.

 

I had read that in one news article too, but then in another I read US only. Do you happen to have a link where you got that information? I just want to be sure since $75 is pretty significant. Thanks!

I too am wondering how to qualify for this promo...I was planning on getting the one without Kinect to save money, but if I was to get this promo I would upgrade to the Kinect version instead. Tried calling support and the lady I spoke to had no idea what
I was talking about. You guys think you've got it bad...I gotta buy 2. One for me and one for my wife. So every bit helps when it comes to saving money. Ive been a active gold member for over 8 years (plus 1 extra on a old account), and my wife is gold for
8 years also, you would think that time alone would show that we both are dedicated users, plus I've never let my account lapse into silver. Its set to auto renew (hers also). If I could get this promo I would buy a Xbox One the next time I'm in Best Buy,
if not its just that much longer of a delay to me getting one. Just would be great to get some clarification on this promo and see who/how it affects certain users. Also curious on how its redeemed, does it work right away through a code to affect the point
of sale in the retail store or some weird rebate system....Is it save $75 off the purchase of a console???? or get a $75 coupon when you buy a Xbox One???? Because I would either use it right away towards a Xbox One purchase or my wifes, or the Kinects in
the future when they are released as standalone accessories....

I'm a idiot. I re read the terms and conditions...you know the fine print that no one reads. if I got this right, when you buy a Xbox One (any version) and set it as your home Console you will receive a message on the Xbox One's message center with a coupon
to redeem a code valued at $75 on the Xbox Store or participating online Microsoft store.

So...you buy the Xbox One, you set and activate it as the home console, receive code on that console then redeem through Microsoft's digital/physical stores towards games, accessories etc etc.....meaning it does not work at other retail stores.....still
a good promo, just means they are keeping their gains/losses in house as opposed to getting a code for $75 to spend at retail store like Best Buy, Gamestop etc etc.

Got my hopes at, still means I can buy my system at Best Buy (to use my reward zone points) then use the $75 code to buy the games.....now...how to get this promo
