    gpu utilization


    gpu utilisation on certain games are bad
    for example on games like cyberpunk its good and can it about 90%

    but games like cs2 or schedule 1 my gpu is struggling and my game would free and stutter

    my cpu is not bottlenecked when playing and stays at around 30% usage

    its a 3080 with an i7 12th gen
    as for cs2 i have tried running it on an offline server and the problem still persists

    It would help know what GPU it is. The 2 games you mentioned are difficult to assess: Schedule 1 is early access so the issue may simply be because the game is not fully optimised...a lot of games suffer from issues in early access. CS2, from what I understand, is an online game so could be server side related.

    NVIDIA drivers have been flaky since the beginning of the year.

    Sometimes it's just difficult to point to what is causing a particular issue...for example, I have a 4090 and get a lot of stuttering in Starfield when I'm on a planet with lots of plants/trees yet every other game is flawless

    for cs2 i have tried multiple times to verify the game files as well as reinstalling the games and even factory reseting my desktop
    i have ensured that my drivers are all up to date

    Some games, like CS2, are less GPU-intensive and rely more on the CPU. Please check the in-game settings and ensure they're optimized for your GPU and lowering settings like shadows, anti-aliasing, or texture quality might help.

    And then make sure that your GPU drivers are up-to-date. Visit the manufacturer's website (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD) to download the latest drivers because an outdated drivers can cause performance issues in certain games.

    Next is to check your power plan settings in Windows. Set it to "High Performance" to ensure your GPU is running at its full potential. You can find this under Control Panel > Power Options.

    Close unnecessary background applications that might be using GPU resources. To do this, use Task Manager to identify and end tasks that are consuming GPU power.

    If the issue persists with specific games, kindly uninstall and then reinstall it. This will surely delete/remove the corrupted files of the game.
