    Gpu artifacts on r6 series x


    So i have put hours on my series x and have not had a single crash/issue. A few days ago i booted up rainbow six siege to see the new improvements made to the game via the new patch. What i found was artifacting on all character models. It happens during
    gameplay and in the menu when there is an ingame model being rendered.

    i have tried reinstalling the game, clearing my cache by running a cold reboot, unplugging my external harddrive, changing the performance mode ingame, and turning off hdr and disabling 4k ect.

    With all that said, all my other games run just fine. Cod (mw,cw), doom eternal, apex legends, witcher 3, cyberpunk, and overwatch have no issues.

    Hello i think my pc is messing up and idk what to do.

    It might not be related to overheating. The 1st and 3rd photos you sent look like GPU artifacts, which could be a sign of a failing GPU.

    You're trippin guy. R6 runs 60 all day every day. It's not a very gpu demanding game. Most of it Is cpu power. If it can run battlefield it can run r6 at 120fps lol

    I think you might be confused a bit. The series x has 16 GB GDDR6 memory, but the gpu is measured in teraflops. That value for the series x is just above 12

    The artifacts are caused not by cracked solder, but by the GPU being damaged by thermals. This also happens on PCs when the GPU does not get sufficient cooling. And unlike Microsoft, GPU card manufacturers do not use dollar store grade solder. But yes. It
    needs to be repaired, as there is no way of fixing this.
