    GOW4 Elite Controller not picking up audio on the mic


    I bought the GOW4 Elite controller and plugged it in to play. I joined a party online and no one could hear me speak. I looked online for solutions and I read I had to update my controller. I did that but still the mic will not pick up my voice.
    The odd thing is that my standard GOW4 controller that came with my 2TB GOW4 system bundle works but the Elite controller does not. I have tried restarting and reconnecting the controller several times. I have no idea what to do next. Is there a way to
    get my Elite Controller to pick up my voice on my mic or is it broken?

    Sony Pulse Elite Headphones without the audio adapter and no game audio?

    I have a pair of pulse elites and a new controller and no audio adapter. I used to have the adapter and an older controller, I would get game audio. Now just the mic works and the audio only comes through the television. I can hear the audio that the mic
    is picking up. Do I need to have the adapter to get in game audio or am I missing something?

    Sorry to hear about the issues with your headset!

    To be sure, are you seeing the same issues with another headset and on other controllers?

    If you test another console or another headset on your network do you see the exact same issue?

    Also, is your console wired or wirelessly connected to your network?

    Post back if you are still having issues and let us know how those tests go!

    Thanks for your message.

    I have gone through all of the steps outlined and the problem still persists.

    I am confident the headset itself works as I have tried it with my phone and it worked on that. And it has worked previously with the xbox controller. I have used a different headset with the controller that also failed to pick up the mic audio

    I believe the controller works correctly. I have it on default configuration. The buzz operation works. The firmware is up to date. The audio comes into the headset just the mic audio is not picked up. I have also tried it on a second controller and it doesnt
    work in that.

    I have checked all the settings outlined. I have tried it on my unrestricted account and my childs account.

    I have done a hard reset on the console.

    Any other advice/suggestions would be appreciated.
