GOW Promo game Codes and useless chat support

I can see that I am among the many others currently getting shafted by microsoft in regards to this offer as I also have not received any codes, so i thought the sensibe thing to do was go onto the chat support and ask if there was any update on these codes.

I was greeted by 3 lies

Lie 1.Firstly I was told there was no offer for any other games to be given for free.

Lie 2. Due to me buying the day one edition I was not eligible

Lie 3. You only get them with the deluxe edition

And once I quoted him the terms and conditions he sent me here to wait with the rest of you lovely people where I would get a reply just like all of you have, so someone put the kettle on seems like were here for the long haul.

I have received an invalid promo code for trading in my 360. Help!

Chat with Microsoft Store customer support (calling didn't resolve it). They escalated it to a different dept and they provided a new promo code in 3 business days. The promo code works on all the Xbox One systems and promotional bundles as well.

No I don't have a detachable mini USB. Look, I highly doubt this is the issue. Can you improvise a little or think of logical answers for this. Sorry to say, but the troubleshooting steps that you are getting your info from are usually useless and are mostly
there to fob people off.

 

First chat has nothing to do with your codes you need to post in the gears of war collection forums

First read the terms and conditionz

You cannot be in Germany Japan or Hong Kong or china

As those regions do not have apply for the promo

Second your account region. Has to match you're actual region in order to redeem the codes us foreign bases don't count as the us as they use local isps

Also you have to play online before the 31St and wait your turn in the code waves

They send them out in large batches but they are currently backloged so it can be awhile

Since every code is custom and they don't have blanket codes otherwise people will just post the code and millions of unintended people will have a free game

They won't tell you where you are in the waves or exact dates you will just have to be patient

 

The last of the codes is expected in early janurary

The way you say chat has nothing to do with codes, are you implying that due to their lack of knowledge on this matter it condones them lying to Microsofts customers?
