    It's a downloaded game! why am I getting this message at the same point every time?

    Old Xbox, New Games Trouble?

    I have an old xbox arcade (yes its still alive!!!) but I have recently had issues when trying to play gow 3, forza 4, and now mw3 with the discs being unreadable. Sometimes the game wont even load from the dashboard (says there is now disc). And sometimes
    mid game it will come up with the error message that the disc in unreadable. Could it be my old console is not able to keep up with the new games???

    GoW disc unreadable

    You may have an error on a certain part of your hard drive, try this..

    Delete the game from your drive, then go to the marketplace and download any demo of any game, then re-download the gears game you want.

    The game will now be on a different part of your drive and may fix the issue.

    Make sure when deleting the gears game that you only delete the game and not your game save, otherwise you will have to start over.

    So to clarify, this is only an issue with the one disc? If so, can we test that disc in a different console as a test? If it is all game discs though and the troubleshooters listed above were not able to help, you will need to set the
    console up for a repair unfortunately. But let us know the specifics of the issue and we can go from there. Thanks!

    GoW Judgement Disc Unreadeable

    Try installing the game to your hard drive. With the disc in the tray on the home page of the dash, press X for Game Details then choose Install. You'll still need the disc in the tray but the game will be read from the hard drive instead of the disc drive.

    Unreadable. ALL discs are unreadable and dont even register as a game or DVD disc. I cant play anything in my xbox from disc. IMEDIATELY after the update.
