    Hi, note that an Xbox enforcement may be enforced for a past offense, not necessarily for something that happened during the most current gaming session.

    I would also point out that if you received a suspension longer than 24 hours but shorter than permanent, you are eligible to file a case review to appeal the suspension. More information can be found here: Xbox Enforcement | How Do I

    Bans do not always occur at the time of the violations. They are investigated before the enforcement team places an enforcement action on you account so they can occur while you are not on your console.

    It doesn't matter how a conversation starts. If you respond in a way that violates the code of conduct, you can be punished.
