iiwe did not have that 300 high speed enet my xbox wifi speed on my xbox was wifi speed 12 it was b4 we got new high speed net i xbox just go wifi speed it now 5 how is it possible go down do low my xbox s it wify in side i not sure how my xbox it
black xbox it come with a kinect i try prview forums no one help me on that i post many thing on that forums and no one help me o far i wait forever on some of thing i post on it my xbox lag ever game turn to 5 lag out games all the time my net is on open

HIGH PING AND BAD LAG

Hi all new here just got a xbox 360 from a friend

so trying to play black ops 2 but I got so much lag in the game its unplayable

I am on shaw high speed 50 down and 3 up win I run speedtest.net or ping test my ping is from 5sm to 10

But when I go in to black ops my ping Is like from 200 to 300 ms what gives

Wifi Speed 300 Mbs?

The WIFI adapter in the Xbox s is a 802.11n spec WIFI adapter meaning it technically supports up-to 300Mbps depending on the router and the set up of the network.

You will probably never have it connected at 300Mbps though, I think you'll maintain around 150Mbps which is still a very good connection!

WiFi, especially on your Xbox isn't very reliable or consistent. Especially when using the test on the dashboard. Your mileage will vary depending on what you use. YouTube say, will connect to YouTube's servers, and they don't have caps on their servers.
Live, does. Matchmaking doesn't need a lot of downstream, but does need good upstream. Your latency is also very important. If you're experiencing lag, it could be your router, and not your internet service, though you'd need to contact your ISP to troubleshoot

So, to make it simple, your Wifi speeds don't matter.

Got to be some hardware issue. If CPU temps are too high, it throttles down to prevent overheating

Lol! I haven't played Halo since the first xbox came out! I don't have high speed internet either so the constant updates on the xbox are a pain in the **** for data usage! My kids want to buy a new xbox not refurbished this time, they will give me 125
for the broken one and new is now 300. Not sure what cost is incurred in sending back for a hard drive replacement?

I just got gb internet. Fiber optic. All hooked up and turned on my xbox and only was able to get high end almost 600 low ends 400+. Upload was 200+-. Even the tech could only read 300. Thats what his teater maxed out on. Qith fiber there is no bottle
neck no lag no drop in service. Not sure if it my xbox 1 s or my service. Will call new service to make sure im getting the right speed.
