Got me again

Picked it up, had a couple of friends who wanted to go all in. Sadly more of the same. Would love to play CoD for what it is, a lightning fast, twitch shooter but just can't. Apparently the code I entered for the Gold EXO also unlocked and permanently
equipped the dreaded marshmallow launcher I've been plagued with for three titles now.

I just don't get it. Minimal lag on TF and if it did it was lobby wide and the game crashed back to lobby for a restart. No lag in Destiny's basic *** crucible MP mode. I can count less than a dozen "Dead around a corner" and "I drained a mag on that
guy, turned and was killed by a shot deaths" in both games combined in over 100 hours played. I just don't get it. How does CoD manage to get the gameplay formula right, but constantly destroy the experience?

Sorry you feel that way. At the moment Microsoft are working their socks off to get issues like your disc drive fixed - I know that for the disc drive issue, they were offering a free digital download game so you could keep playing. Hopefully they still
are!

How do I never win the lottery as every Xbox I have owned has been in the "small %" of failures. I even had to install my own cooling fan on the original Xbox. The 360 RROD's kept getting me and now the disc drive...At least it failed after a few weeks
rather than letting me drag it out for 6 months. (I only play a few hours per week) I just want to post a big middle finger. It may be finally time to retire from Xbox and get back into the PC gaming saddle.

 

I feel you! I can't blame anyone but myself though since it makes sense from their point of view....why worry about anything when this title sells itself. Until we eliminate our money in their pockets, nothing will change unfortunately.

One thing I do think about when playing COD.....if these obsurd deaths happen to me at times, they must happen to everyone else too so in that sense, everything is going to be alright!

 

I know what you mean. I faithfully played the franchise from CoD2 to MW3, and I didn't play that game more than a handful of times before I got rid of it. Yep, it took me that long to finally figure out that Activi$$$ion only cared about one thing. I only
play these games for their campaigns anymore, I wait until the price drops, pick it up used and I make sure Gamestop gets the money. Even the campaigns are turning into a bit of a joke now. Veteran campaigns aren't nearly as challenging and memorable as the
earlier Veteran modes were.

Same old CoD, just a different paint job

 

i feel you guys pain. I have yet to have to deal with any of the issues people have been complaining about Cod since the COD2. I guess I have been lucky. COD till now was the same old cod with a different paint job. This one is not the same as others. The
game play changed dramatically. Believe what you want but this is very different from all the other COD.

 

So what do you suggest to succeed in this game? Every COD I have played (TDM) since WaW, I average between 1.25 and 1.7 K/D, which isn't anything special but at least I was getting the kills I felt were dealt during the battle. This game is so inconsistent
that I can have a 15-7 match and literally the next is a 5-12, then a 12-4, then a 9-14.....you get the picture.

I'll have situations where someone is a foot passed me and get a knife kill or I will unload into someone only to have them turn and kill me. But then I will get a kill that I can't even believe, where I see them and even though my gun started shooting
before I got them in my cross hairs, get a kill all while they clearly were shooting me first.

That is the shame of this game, sure a high skill level will give you the edge but it really comes down to being that split second ahead of someone in the game, sad really.
