Got harassed on the Mic, sent a message in return. Got banned.

So I was playing robocraft infinity, got spawn killed by some dude like 12-15 times all the while he is sitting there talking crap on the Mic. The game ends and I send him a message out of frustration, and I get banned for 7 days. Wow Xbox, this is the kind
of stuff that makes me want to switch to PlayStation. Do you even look into the matter at hand? Did you even investigate? I have a high reputation score, and haven't been suspended in 6 years or so. Not cool.

Communication banned twice for the same thing?

Earlier this month i got communication banned for a message that i sent. Yesterday i got communication banned again even though i haven't sent any innapropriate messages.

I was being harassed by kid calling me names team killing so my friend took my controller and sent him the n* word and I got banned from communications please help get my privileges back thanks

The enforcement team do investigate complaints before issuing a suspension and will only issue a suspension if they determine you have done something to violate the code of conduct. It doesn't matter how a situation starts, if you respond in a way that violates
the code of conduct, you can be punished. In situations like that, it's best to just report the other person and block communications with them instead of responding. Rep has nothing to do with suspensions.

PSN has similar rules.

But the message didn’t brake the rules. Wasn’t harassment, profanity or violence. Which is why I got confused as to why I got banned. Says harassment but how is it harassment?

So the decision was upheld and the reason is i reported a persons messages to much. Just to be clear i didnt report one message over and over agin the players continuously messaged me and mocked me about being banned and the person is the buddy of the person
who got me banned. So i got banned for harassment because i was reporting the person who was harassing me while i was still communication banned.

But the message that got me banned was literally sent 4mins before I got the email to say I was banned.

I know others that have sent me worse messages that I've reported didn't get banned as they still messaged me the days after reporting.

So it's almost as the ban I got was automated.

My communication got banned for 1 message I sent to somebody that was clearly instigating it and also was talking trash to me on the mic but I got banned for defending myself, on top of that we was lying about the game to the people I play with.
I do not think that the 1 message I sent seeing that I've never had a communication ban in the 14 years playing on xbox is fair. I understand I cant say the thing I said. Lesson is learned but if I'm going to get banned he should too because he said way worse
over the mic. I did report him.

Mild trash talking is aloud to some extent best option is to always mute,block,report dont message them or reply to them
