    Got Banned Over a Donut

Long story short: Playing a multiplayer game, teammate is extremely bad, we lose. Play another game, he's on opposing team, he's still bad but we win. I send trash talking message. All in good fun, because trash talk is part of multiplayer as long as
    it's not abusive.

First comment was laughing at his choice of character. Not important.

The second phrase, was 'get bostom kremd m8'. User's name was Boston Kreme somethingsomething. Silly insult, didn't make any sense, but that's okay.

Boston Kreme is a popular donut in NE America. Probably the most popular in New England. Apparently nobody told Xbox this because the guy responded 'reported' and within an hour I was banned. I'd love to submit a case review and tell them this, but that
button isn't there, and the fine customer support at Microsoft refuses to discuss any bans they make.

I don't care about the ban. It's 24hours and a community ban. What I care about is that apparently Microsoft will ban customers who have spent thousands of both dollars and hours on their account with zero prior infractions over the last ten years over
    donuts. Donuts people.

    :)

Console banned but we're still paying?!

Dollars to donuts I'd say the people who have been console banned have been account banned too. Usually when you're account banned you're also banned from the forums too but this doesn't apply to the support section because they need to be able to post in
    "my xbox account was suspended"

Sadly, we're unable to assist with actions taken by the Enforcement team here on the forums. The Enforcement team does not use the forums, so they will not be able to respond here, unfortunately.

Best to sit out your temporary banned account. And be careful from now on what you say to your mates that is easily inflame by donuts, if I where you I won't be friend with them anymore.

    Good luck dude!

It doesn't matter how much you have spent or how long you have been a member of Xbox Live, there isn't any special privilege for doing that or having been. Maybe you should care about your behavior as that is what got you suspended.

Did you even read the offense? Are you seriously suggesting that telling someone to 'get donut' is a viable offense?

I'm confused as to why nobody is saying 'hey, maybe this guy shouldn't have been banned for sending someone gibberish about a donut!' I genuinely can't think of a way in which what I said could be construed as offensive.

Microsoft, xbox support should take away the message facility, it's not needed if it can't be policed in a sensible manner. How someone has not taking legal action against bans and suspension that have no recourse is unbelievable, as genuine paying customers
are being targeted unfairly and wrongfully suspended or banned. It's a flawed system where someone can press button to report something that never happened

Because you agree to NOT sue when you sign up for the service. I suggest you go read the Terms of Use. False reports aren't a thing that gets you suspended, yet another in Xbox Live myths that anyone can find by googling the term.

It doesn't matter what the offense was or how ridiculous you think it is. Your post ended with a sense of entitlement. You posted "Microsoft will ban customers who spent thousands of both dollars and hours on their account with zero prior infractions over
the last ten years over donuts." Neither the money or the time is relevant. Everyone gets treated the same regardless.

That is flawed and when ;challenged by someone who has the time and inclination to do so it will fall apart. There is no service in the world that has a legal agreement tied up to protect the provider of a service when that agreement is forced upon user
who is not breaking the agreement. So saying your breaking the agreement by trying to sue M$ is not legal. It's threatening behavior for sure. You should keep sending Microsoft reports about players and incorporate the message those users send you and see
what happens. It is not a myth when you've seen it happen and if you've not seen it happen does not make it a myth. Microsoft are a law unto themselves and do as they please with no recourse for xbox live subscriber when Microsoft gets it wrong.
