Got a replacement XB1 - Will it be different to my 1 year ago model?

I can't find any news on this, i know PS4 change their console every few months and have been doing so, letting the public know about hardware changes.

Does anyone know if the XB1 does the same?

How many of you bought a warranty on your console already??

In case anybody doesn't know all XB1 accessories and consoles come standard with a 1 year warranty, simply put if something happens, go online and fill out a replacement forum, ship it to them, get a new one.

Of course it does. Every console ever made since the 1970's has had hardware revisions. Just because Microsoft hasn't announced it, doesn't mean it hasn't happened. Most revisions are to reduce manufacturing costs, it has always been like this, since
the beginning of the industry.

It was a 4 GB model (Color: black) that we bought about 1 1/2 years ago. It was not a slim model. We did go and replace it with a 500 GB model (Color: black, not slim) today. It seems like we were able to save most of the files on the jump drive that had
xbox live profiles but not the files of our one offline profile. Thank you for your help! And I was able to install the new update too

I got it to work. Here's what different.

- Changed my illico receiver. [Maybe the receiver?]

- While the technician came to replace the illico, he also removed the signal booster they had put in last time they came(a year ago). [So maybe a signal problem?]

I am only going off recent experience but I recently got my series 1 warrantied and the rep said my replacement (wasnt a repair) was guaranteed for a year from first activation.

Given that my model is basically discontinued now you should have no concerns with the warranty on your series 2 controller if you get it replaced.

Also this is the 3rd time in 3 years I've sent it back so there shouldn't be any problems if something were to happen again
