Got a new xbox. Set up with wrong microsoft account

We previously had an xbox that stopped working. We purchased a new one but could not remember which Microsoft account we signed in with on the old one. Before we figured which one it was, my husbands account was set up on the new one.

We now realize that it was set up under my daughter's. We have downloaded games on this account that we want on the xbox. The problem is that the new xbox is set up under my husband's account and my son downloaded the game that came with the xbox already
into his account.

So it there any way to have both accounts on there the get the 2 previously purchased games and the new game on this xbox?

I have a Microsoft account originally set up thru my sons xbox 360 with a gold membership. that console died and we recently for Christmas got a new xbox 1. but when we set up the console I set up a second gamertag under the same email and the same password.
Due to this I cant access the original account with the xbox live. obviously very frustrated that he cant play with his friends.......how do I resolve this issue? I know the original account is still active because Microsoft recently deducted the fee for
the membership from my checking account. Thankyou

We're trying to Set up our new Xbox live that we got today, but we're having trouble. We already got signed up 12 months with Microsoft and already have a unique gamertag. But when we sign into Xbox 360 it says " try a different account " thank you for your
help.

 

I just asked the same question. I hope we get an answer. I had upwards of 20 games on my old system. You'd figure they'd just do an id check then let you d/l your property.

Purchases are tied to the account that purchased/redeemed them and nothing can be transferred between accounts.

If you're on an Xbox One (original, S or X), you just need to have the purchasing account make the console the account's home console and all accounts on that console can play the games. The purchasing account will be able to play the games on any console
that can connect to the internet. They just need to add their profile to the console.

To download the previously purchased content to the console - when logged into the purchasing account - go to My Games & Apps > Ready to download.
