Google Home linked but not working with Xbox One

I'm trying to get my google home mini to work with my Xbox One, I joined the google group, linked the "[Beta] Xbox" to my account and it added my Xbox One but when I say a command like "play madden 20 on xbox" the google home responds saying "ok starting
madden 20 on xbox" but then nothing happens on my console. The account I linked is the account I'm signed in to on my xbox, tried un-linking and re-linking but nothing seems to work. Everything seems to be ok on the google side of things, just the commands
are registering with my console or account for some reason. Also note my Microsoft account does show a google device linked to it. Anyone have any ideas? I'm at a loss here.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Also, make sure the console is in the instant on mode.

Thanks for replying.

As you can see this problem isn't new and i really doubt it's on Google's side, as i can "enable/disable" the appearance of my new Xbox by just using the Xbox setting "digital assistant" on "Microsoft's side".

Renaming, removing and all recommendations like that aren't true solutions, as already the "Xbox account" lists 2 devices before linking or reconnecting with Google home. So it needs to be deleted from there, not inside Google home as it's not linked to Google home by this time...

I know that Google Home can not be used to turn the Xbox on and off as of right now.

Worked for me, I found the link on google, had to enter my details for the Xbox One S.
