    Goodbye XBox

    Hi,

I am writing to let you know that while I have been an Xbox user since Xbox Live was still in beta, I am now planning jump ship and switch to PlayStation for the next console generation. The big reason I was sticking with Xbox was that I had a substantial
investment in content for Rock Band. However, I had problems with my original Xbox One which I addressed by purchasing and Xbox One X. That console started having video out issues, so now I have ordered a replacement. But that order is seemingly stuck in
'pending'. I called to check on it yesterday and was given a lot of conflicting and false information such as:

    • The order is delayed becuase we run out of stock
    • The order is delayed becuase of covid19
    • The order is waiting to be picked up by the shipping company.
    • You'll have the tracking number in 12 hours
    • You'll have the Xbox in your hands in 24 hours
Unsurprisingly, I never got a tracking number or the xbox and more than 24 hours have passed. So I called again. This time I was simply told, it might be out of stock, or it might be a shipping problem, but I will have to call back in 24 more hours and
then someone will look into what is actually happening.

This is ridiculous. My complaint is that your company is unable to even tell me what the status is and give me any information. And now it is my responsibility to call back again tomorrow to find out what is going on. I understand they can be issues,
but I also expect clarity on what is happening. Yes, I get that this is an abnormal time, but that doesn't remove your responsibility to follow through on the promises made on your website or by your employees.

This is not the first time I have had a similar problem. Previously I attempted to purchase an Xbox Elite 2 controller for in store pickup. The website said they were in stock, so I placed the order, and then drove 40 minutes to get to the store to pick
it up. When I arrive, I was told, sorry, we are sold out.

There there is the issue with Surface Book 2 that I purchased. It has constant issues with losing connection between the two pieces which means I cannot use the GPU reliably as it disappears from time to time.

So 5 physical products purchased over the course of about 5 years for around $3,000, and every one of them has been a problem. Not to mention my Xbox 360 the gave me a red ring of death about a month after you stopped addressing that problem. Clearly you
don't care about your loyal customers, so I will be voting with my wallet going in the future by avoiding Microsoft purchases (including digital content) going forward.

    :)
