    Goodbye Xbox

I wanted to try and find an email or something to thank someone at Microsoft, but I will settle for the forums, the community. I don't mean to be dramatic, but it really is sad to me that I have to move on from gaming for a while. I grew up a gamer, I remember
my game boy color, a yellow one. I remember my dream cast. I remember my playstation 1, and 2. And I remember my first Xbox. And finally, I remember my Xbox 360. I've spent years, and, admittedly, thousands of hours gaming on my Xbox 360 throughout the years.
I love gaming, and it's an amazing past time where I've met some wonderful people and had some hilarious funny moments.

Now, entering my second year of college, expenses have begun to really hit me, and I've been putting off this decision as long as I can. But I must regretfully end my Xbox Gold subscription, and sell my xbox and all of my games. I still even have my MechAssault
2 Lone Wolf Limited edition disk, and my Star Wars Battle Front 2 disk. I loved those games on the original Xbox but unfortunately, along with almost 40 other games, I must sell them. And I must sell my xbox 360 in order to pay for school. I really wish I
could continue gaming with a newer system, but unfortunately they are too expensive for a college student in my position to afford. I wanted to thank Microsoft for many years of fun, and I wanted to thank the community for being so wonderful. Forget about
those annoying kids online, you get out of the community, what you put in. And I've put thousands of hours of my life into this company's products and I don't regret it.

It was fun, and I don't regret a moment of it. Thanks for all the fun Microsoft, don't forget about your gamers. And for you gamers out there in these forums, don't forget that you get out of this community, what you put in. Always be nice to other gamers,
you never know what kind of friends you'll make.

    :)

Please don't kill used games completely.

If the next Xbox does block used games it's goodbye Microsoft and Hello Sony!

Good luck with your education. Hopefully at the end you'll have a job to get back into your hobby.

As a once poor college student myself (won't mention how many years ago), I know you're going to regret selling it, but you gotta do what you gotta do to survive. Best of luck.

I don't know your situation (not everyone can donate due to different circumstances)...but sell plasma/blood for a couple hundred bucks a month.

That's a freaky way to make some money. : | Although, the blood banks would be happy...well, and patients that need it.

Ehh, even if I was down and out, I wouldn't bother selling my 360 and games because it really wouldn't net me enough for even a tank full of gas, so I would just hold onto it.

  9. Sometimes even 1 tank of gas is what you need to get by, I've been there and completely understand this situation.

Good luck mate, there's nothing stopping you returning to gaming once you've completed your studies!

I agree with Bizarro. I still have an old 360 in a box with a couple of hard drives, a 20 and 60 I think, and, y'know... it's not worth selling. If you're desperate OP, you can come and get it off me for free. {=)

Sell some old crap, even some games, for a Gold sub, and you get free games all year. Doesn't make sense to sell the console if money is an issue. It makes sense to sell if gaming is affecting your studies though. IMO

    {=D

  14. Good luck in college. Sucks to see you're selling off your collection, but if it needs to be done to get by, it's understandable.
