    Wasn't the playstation network down for an entire month for all users? You think they deserve your money? MIcrosoft needs to stop giving out deals and free games. It just leads to people complaining and feeling entitled.

    If you were a hardcore microsoft fan you wouldn't be switching over a $75 coupon you didn't receive. But it is your choice. Have fun on your new playstation!

  5. It may be unfounded, Mgzin, but I was basing my opinion off of my wonderful experience with the Xbox One. While I may have virtually no experience with the PS4, neither has the OP with the Xbox One - so we're both kind of in the same boat, but at opposite
    ends of the spectrum. Again, try not to make such a big deal out of it; the OP likely doesn't care about what any of us thinks anyways.

    I think its fairly certain the OP doesnt really care about what games Sony or MS has to offer. He is upset he doesnt get a special offer. Nothing more nothing less. His preference seems clear, its xbox but because he wasnt the chosen one he is now a PS guy.

    I try to not get involved with these posts, they tend to just end up as trash talk. However I will say this, a forum is a place to discuss things, if you don't want your post discussed then don't post on them. It's as simple as that. Also we have freedom
    of speech, you can say what you want. This also means that the guy disagreeing with you has exactly the same right. That's how it is.

  9. What irritates me about many posts like this is the whole 'loyalty' game people try to play.

    Loyalty shmoyalty... it's business. You're buying a product, not a pet. If Sony's next console would somehow convince me that their online experience was comparable to XBL (DO NOT read this as a better than/worse than argument... see it as 'has what I want')
    and that it had games I wanted, like Halo and GOW, then I'd probably give it a try.

    Far too many people have this misconception that "I am acquainted and/or comfortable enough with a product to be confident that the next iteration will have what I want" somehow equates to "loyalty". That's ridiculous, loyalty has little to nothing to do
    with it. Of course, it sounds really good to use the word because that makes it easy to imply that they are
    entitled to some kind of 'reward' for their 'loyalty'. You either like a product enough to overlook its short comings and keep it/buy another or you don't. That's customer satisfaction... not loyalty.

    If you want loyalty, get a dog... or a spouse, or a good friend. If you want to show loyalty... become one. You'll probably find that the 'rewards' for that loyalty aren't always what they should be either, but they're generally worth it.

  10. I was sitting on the fence regarding buying a new console, at first I was leaning towards the PS4. However after MS did the "U" turns and after much research I decided on the XBone. Got it home set up was simple and fast and played Forza 5. That night I
    went to bed with a smile on my face. But the next day the console wouldn't turn on. A phone call to Game (UK) tech support and it was decided the MB had died. Returned to the shop, got it exchanged and still feel pleased with the purchase.

    Anyway my point of all of this is, mistakes are made, whether it be by some idiot in Customer Services or in the manufacturing process, it happens. Maybe the OP should have pushed his case a bit more when speaking to MS, he might have been given a D/L
    code for a game or XBL codes. Anyway if there is one thing I've learned in all my years on this rock we live on, it's just not worth the hassle getting yourself wound up, life is too short. If you loved your Xbox as much as you say, then you should have put
    the whole thing down to bad experience/luck with the support you spoke to and moved on. However I do see your point and good luck in the future with your PS4. I hope it gives you as many happy years gaming as your Xbox did.

  11. I had many bad experiences with Microsoft as well. And I really didn't like what they did at the E3 reveal. That being said, you have bad experiences everywhere. And all the issues I had with Microsoft were solved no matter how long it took. When they said
    they were reversing their decisions on a lot of things, I was happy because I thought they did so because they wanted to keep their customers happy, and make lots of money doing so. Because that is what companies do, making money, including MS. I bought my
    One for full price as well, and I don't really mind that they choose to reward certain people who switch to the One from the 360. That's just how it is, bad luck for me, better luck next time. If you want to buy a PS4 and leave Microsoft for whatever that
    reason might be, that's your choice and I respect that. I really hope you have fun with your PS4, I know I'm having fun with my One right now.

    Actually, no we don't. This site is privately owned by Microsoft and they reserve the right to ban/censor whatever they choose on here. Freedom of speech keeps you from being arrested by the government... to my knowledge, no one thus far has had that happen
    to them.

    On topic -- I own a 360, a PS3, and a One... I'm sure I'll eventually pick up a PS4, but I'm a realist... I don't ever feel a company owes me anything outside of what I've given them money for. Anything I receive in terms of compensation and/or loyalty
    is just a bonus.

    had 2 ps1s, a ps2 and 4 ps3's (from a launch day 60gb right through to slims i got through having to buy a new console because i wasn't paying exorbitant repair costs, they can try and convince me sonic soldering is worth that much but i practically repaired
    the console myself without a sonic soldering kit) the two times i rang support was a nightmare, 2 weeks... i didnt get any sort of resolution for 5 and then the resolution was so *** poor i gave up on ever fixing it and got a new console

    Anyway long story short, still haven't got a 75$ upgrade option to trade in my ps3 for a ps4, still havent got anything for such a long tenure of sony products,i only actually started getting free stuff when the whole database was compromised by hackers
    and i couldn't access psn full stop for what seemed like an enternity (bearing in mind they have to protect my data etc)

    And all in all not being bothered etc why didn't you just email a person who works for ms, most of there addresses are freely available and loads of prominent employees have social media etc, people who may actually shed one lonely tear over your plight
    rather than post in a general discussion forum full of people who aren't employed by ms and unlikely to post anything apart from sarcasm , but please let me play you out with a soothing ballad on the worlds smallest violin.

    Sony is no better, they are all cloak and dagger. In my opinion you are making a mistake. As I did last gen when I got mad that my console (360) broke, I picked up a (Ps3). And I came back to Xbox, MS is far more caring as well as supportive. In my experience,
