Good internet doesn't stop my lagging in online gaming?

Just to start off I bought my Xbox off of eBay earlier this year and it worked as it should, still does. The problems starting occurring a while after the release date of apex legends, all of sudden I have to repeatedly go "offline" and then "online" before
entering an online game or I will lag really bad in game after a while if i don't. And i have tried restarting my console, restarting my router, but to this day i still have go offline and back online to play comfortably, I also always test my multiplayer
connection and it says it's good when it feels quite the opposite, has anyone else experienced anything like this? Or have a solution?

It turns out the first response solved my problem, but i appreciate the help, not sure my exact ping but in Battlefield for example it would be around 19 or lower.

Lag can be server side as well but what have you done to your network to speed up the connection what is your ping

Are you on wireless or wired? If you are on wireless i would test it by trying wired also maybe try going directly to the modem if possible. If this solves the issue its probably your router. If this doesn't solve your issue it could potential be the network
card in the console its self. If your internet speeds and bandwidth are solid there should no issue in terms of the internet. I hope you figure it out, but i'm leaning towards a hardware issue.

try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, and then re-adding the account
