good but not sold...

after having some time in with TitanFall, it dawned on me that I'm not sold on this game. Don't get me wrong, gameplay and overall feel of the game is nice. I think maybe it's the fact that it has no single player campaign mode, I'm more of a story guy that
helps drive my purpose on the field. Maybe I'm not impressed after all the hype and attention it has gotten.Is it innovative? Sure. Is it next gen? .....

Does some of the processing off-platform to reduce load on the system. I heard On-Live gaming or something utilized it, not sure how well it worked there.

It's a thin slice of the game. There's a story. There are something like 11 game modes. There's apparently monsters.

If you aren't sold on the title, wait for reviews and word of mouth.

 

This is a BETA let us not get carried away here. They cannot give us everything all at once.

I have to say that I'm honestly not sure if I'm impressed - that being said, for a beta, it's pretty darn good...

Agree, doesn't feel next gen at all, It's,ok, but nothing special.

I'd like the single player option as well, and maybe destructible environments. And there seems to be no use of the Kinect.....on what is supposed to be THE game for the Xbone?

Had a little fun with the beta, but it hasn't convinced me to buy.

 

Your loss. It's the sort of new thing that I've been craving since Gears of War 1.

 

overall feedback is fantasic sorry for the guys who dont like it.

 

Destructible environments wouldn't help the game as the titans need cover as well I'm sure if it was beneficial to the game then respawn would have done it they have everything spot on so far imo

 

When Respawn gathered together after the West and Zampella had a lengthy court battle with Activision over MW2 and contracts, they were no longer infinity ward with a massive budget and resources. They sat down with what they had and decided to try and make
something fun and different. At this point they were not entirely thinking Xbox or next gen just a concept and a really old engine that the team was familiar working with. I believe this is why it's not exactly a next gen looking game as far as graphics go
but in terms of a game it's fun and a little different even if it borrows from lots of already established games.

So what I'm saying is this game was born out of Devs looking to restart their careers not build a game for next gen consoles. It just ended up coming to next gen and the servers that MS offered,helped with the AI and the vision.

 

Ripen that is the best description of the thought process behind this game that I have read, kudos to you sir
