Gonna Change My GT. There any side effects?

I wanna change my name, but I'm kinda weary cause of my Xbox Rewards Program with the punchcards. Just wondering anyone change their name and not get their punchcard(I have Dragon Age pre-ordered online) or not get their pre-orders cause of it?

Changing the capitalization on my GT

how would i go about this? it won't let me do a standard GT change, as my GT is obviously already taken. i haven't found anything on how to edit existing gamertags rather that outright changing them. am i gonna have to change it to something else and change
it back, or is there another way to do this?

Should be fine. Although on the forums you might be stuck with your old gamertag showing as a silver member like me lol.

 

Might confuse some people on your Friends list if you do not tell them what it will be before you do it but that is about it.

 

Possible side effects include diarrhea, loss of appetite, increased heartbeat, insomnia and several other undisclosed drawbacks.....lool kidding bud there is absolutely no effects from a gamertag change besides the stuff people posted above..does not effect
your account at all.

As Hornet mentioned let people know in advance as they tend to freak out to strange people..well i do anyway lol...I have a friend that changes his gamertag about every 3 months and deletes all friends and starts over..weird this one is.

 

It's hilarious when they try an squeeze in death like it's no big deal, drowsiness, headache, coughing, death, increased heartbeat.

My humble advice? Come up with something unique, cool or funny, and grammatically correct (none of these random capital letters, numbers, Xs, Os, Is and so on...).
