    Gold turned off for no reason


    I purchased a month of xbox gold on August 4th, a full 8 days before my previous month expired (aug 12th). I naturally assumed that everything pertaining to xbox gold would then be handled until September 12th, or at least September 4th...

    But instead, today (August 27th) I find gold turned off and a message stating that i am past due on my billing.. WHY WOULD I PAY A BILL WHEN I HAVE A FREE MONTH+ ?!?

    I have lost faith in Microsoft's ability to help, having spent the past hour searching for it, only to become far more frustrated. But I still have faith in the community. So if anyone out there can help, it would be appreciated. Thx

    Did anything else in your home specifically the same room as the console have any power outage? I've had a slight flicker only shut off my console and TV before but nothing else, quality surge bar fixed that for me. Otherwise, I have heard of consoles
    shutting themselves down when getting too hot.

    Put a little compressed air into the back and sides. It can be dust.

    Check for proper ventilation, you may want to also clean any dust buildups around the exhaust ports.

    Make sure your console has enough space to let air from the fan escape. I'd recommend keeping your console at least an inch away walls or other objects, and make sure not to leave anything on top of your console.
