Gold trials not activating? Please help!

Hey everyone,

I got an Xbox One recently and love it. Today I entered some Live Gold trial codes that came with my Xbox One and some games I bought. It accepted the codes and said they worked. But so far I can't tell if I actually have Gold.

Codes I entered were for a 2 day trial, another 2 day trial, and a 15 day trial

I went to the store to see if the holiday prices were Gold prices, and nope, they are still regular prices.

I looked in my Subscriptions and don't see evidence of having a Gold membership yet. Is that normal? How long does it take for these Gold trials to activate?

I really want to understand how Live Gold works, because I want to buy a 12 month membership card at Best Buy, but now I'm scared that codes from cards are not working.

Gold trials are just trials, and do NOT count as gold memberships.

HELP PLEASE

As long is there is a payed gold subscription on your Xbox One it is automatically shared among all other profiles on your Xbox One. I would also like to inform that trial codes do not stack on existing gold so if you have an active subscription and redeem
a trial, that code is then lost.

The trials are very limited and usually specific to the games you have purchased or came with the console. You can look on Commerce.microsoft.com and see if you are actually Gold. Based on your Gametag you are not which leads me to believe the trials you
are using are of the limited variety.

Also to add, the trials will not change your account status to gold. The only way to test them is to try playing online. You will not be able to purchase any games with gold games or purchase games at the gold sale price with a trial.

Also, trials do not stack. So if you added them all at the same time, they each overwrote each other. You will only have enough time on your trial as the last card you entered.

hello,

i bought an xbox one and activated the code for the free 14-day trial today but it doesnt seem to have activated. i cant play online or download the free games, and in the subscriptions menu im told to get gold. do i have to activate the trial somewhere
else? or whats the problem? help please

If you have a active Xbox Live Gold subscription, you can't activate a Xbox Live Gold Trial. You will need wait your subsctiption end to activate trial.
