    Gold to core??


    Since i have 3 months left with my gold account and i have a brand new 12 month gold prepaid card (not activated). What i need to do since the gold is now discountinued soon...

    Activate now and it will accumulate with my current months? Or wait until my subcription end and risk that the gold redeem code will not works anymore?

    Pretty much complicated.

    Yes. Core works similar to Gold. You need Core to play online. Core is included in Ultimate the same as Gold was.

    Do games claimed as 'Games with Gold' work if I've changed to Gamepass for Console

    Games with Gold would require Game Pass Core (or Ultimate, which includes Core). Since Game Pass for console does not include Core, Games with Gold games will not work with it.

    Yes, Gold became Core.

    Any old Xbox Live Gold cards bought and redeemed now are also automatically converted to Core.

    Gold was discontinued in September. Core is Gold.

    To simplify, Gold was discontinued and became Game Pass Core. If he redeems the 3 month Gold card, he will have Game Pass Core.
