Gold suscription payment

Yes, I have an outstanding payment of my gold suscription, and I want to pay it, but i cant, it tells me to try it later.

Sorry to hear there is an issue with the payment. Please make sure to check your

Services & subscriptions and see if there is a past due balance. (How
to pay a past due balance on an Xbox subscription)

1. Sign in to your Services & subscriptions page with your Microsoft account.
   
2. Note
   If you don't know your Microsoft account email address or password, use the Lost Account Solution or the Lost Password Solution.
   
3. Find your past due subscription in the list. The amount past due will be in red.
4. Select Pay now, and then follow the instructions to pay the balance due.
   
   • Note
     Adding a prepaid code will not settle the balance you owe. You need to settle the outstanding balance using the steps above before redeeming your prepaid code.

Maybe is not your case but just want to let you know that your balance can be used to purchase games and content but cannot be use to purchase suscriptions like Xbox Live Gold, EA Access for that you need to purchase a suscription card or buy directly using
a valid payment method.

Yes, after the payment is complete and everything is in order with the purchase you can remove the payment option without any issue. The only ocassion in which you need to have a credit card present as a payment option is when the Gold Membership was bought
with the credit card, if you try to remove it earlier, it's considered as you cancelling the membership and it will cancel your Xbox Live Gold suscription.
