Gold Subscription

Hi!

Iv'e changed my region about 2 weeks ago to Malaysia and my Xbox Gold Subscription has disappeared! Iv'e contacted Xbox Support and said that Xbox Live is not supported in Malaysia, How come it worked in Qatar when I migrated my account to there? Xbox Live
is not supported there either. No way I can handle not having Multiplayer for 3 months!!

Wait so you get 2 free games every month even if you stop paying for Gold??

Yeah, unless something has changed recently, you get to keep your Xbox 360 gold games.

But the Xbox One gold games you need to have an active subscription.

Sorry but phone support is the only one who can help with this. If they cannot transfer you back you'll have to wait the 3 months.

 

I purchased XBox Gold on my avatar for my son. Is he unable to access Gold from his avatar?

 

If you purchased a Gold membership on your gamertag then it cannot be transferred. However you could try contacting phone support. They may be able to cancel the membership on your account and send you a code to add it to your son.

However, if you have an Xbox One console then you can add your son to your Family on that console and share the gold membership with him.

 

The thing is, iv'e contacted Xbox Support through chat for 3 times and all of them did not work. Firstly, they said Xbox Live is not supported in Malaysia. Secondly, another support told me that he will manually fix it once I'm in that region and to contact
again when I'm there. Lastly, when I contacted them, they said they cant help me as they don't have remote access and gave me a fake fix which told me to wait for 24 hrs for the subscription to show up, but it never did. There is no phone support for Malaysia,
so what am I supposed to do? I'm still surprised how it worked in Qatar and it's not working here in Malaysia. I don't want to lose all the good free Gold Games, Can anyone help me?

 

Sorry but it seems as though you're bound by the terms of the region change now. You are stuck there for three months with that gamertag. If phone support cannot help you there is no one on these forums who can help either.

 

But how can this happen? My Gold membership is a pre paid one which was paid fully, its not a monthly subscription for Xbox Live not to work. So if I migrate my account to US and still stay in Malaysia after 3 months, will my Gold Subscription show up again?

 

Theoretically it should (with three months gone from it though). However, if it is not then you'll need to contact phone support again for assistance.
