    Gold subscription required to use prepaid vouvher?


    Hi there, my son wants to download Minecraft skins and textures using a prepaid voucheron his Xbox 360, the sales consultant said he needs to have Xbox Live Gold membership to be able to use prepaid card?? Is this correct? We do have Microsoft Xbox live
    accounts, but no subscription.

    @Spitfire you cannot use account money to purchase a gold subscription. A CC or prepaid card is required

    I think you may be thinking of a gold subscription not Game Pass. Gold is required to play online multiplayer. Since Fortnite is an online only game it does require a gold subscription. Not all games require gold.

    You can also generally get gold cheaper by purchasing a prepaid gold card from online retailers or you can earn free gold through Microsoft Rewards.

    A gold subscription is required in order to play online. If Microsoft Rewards is available in your area, you can use that to get gold for free, but normally it is paid for. It typically is cheaper to buy prepaid cards online than buying straight from Xbox.
