Gold Subscription not letting me manually renew

So, I bought a 1-month gold membership last month. It ran out yesterday. I tried to buy a 3-month subscription today, but it won't let me. I thought it had to do with my 1 month subscription, so I went to my subscriptions. I noticed auto-renew was on,
but it didn't charge me. I turned that off, and tried to cancel the subscription so I could pay for a 3 month. It keeps saying I can't cancel it, or that it is paid through until December 14th, which is yesterday, but not until January 14th, so it apparently
didn't auto-renew. I really don't know what to do.

be sure to double check if any issues are shown at the transactions at
http://account.microsoft.com

if there were any issues with the renewal then it will show there with information.

As mentioned, if there is a payment due issue, that needs to be sorted first before any other action can be done.

cancelling your Xbox Live Gold subscription. If you haven't already, you may wish to attempt to cancel it from a device different that the one you have currently been using to see if it makes any difference, like a smartphone, tablet, etc.

I've already checked if there's any payment due or anything like that, but as far as I can tell, the one month seems to be paid off. Every time I try to cancel to pay for the 3 month though, it says I can't because it's paid through until December 14.
It's December 16 now, and it still won't let me pay. Xbox Live service is supposedly up, so I don't know why it keeps telling me "Try that again, something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help."

Attempting to use a prepaid xbox live gold 12 months card to renew my subscription but it wont let me. What options do I have?
