Gold subscription, cancelled credit card

Hi !

My credit card is cancelled since september and my gold subscription is "waiting" since begin of october.

I changed my credit card and tried to pay my gold subscription but i always got the same message : "We process your payment for € 6.99".

What can i do to get my gold subscription back ?

Gold subscription does not except prepaid cards.edit

I use a prepaid card to pay for my subscription but got an error code when trying to update my subscription. I contacted Tech support and apparently they do not accept prepaid Visa's etc. Microsoft I guess relies on the auto-renew featured a bank in for folks that forget to cancel or change subscription. Atleast my opinion. Apparently they need a bank card or credit card. I personaly don't trust banks or credit card companies for that matter. I thought about purchasing a subscription gift card. Yet a am afraid they will ask me for a credit card for auto-renew. If anyone has had this issue or have a work around let me know.Click to expand...

Use your pre paid card to get a gold sub online somewhere like cdkeys.com or gamedealdaily.com you will get it for a fraction of the cost of paying MS and you can turn off auto renew in the account settings of Xbox.com

Transferring Subscription to a New Credit Card

I'm trying to transfer my Xbox Live subscription over from my mother's credit card to my own. I've added my card to the Payment Options page, but I can't remove my mother's card from the list. Both cards are on the Options list.

I'm getting a message stating that there is still an outstanding balance on the last Gold - 12 Month renewal charged on 11/10/2012. However, my mom lost her card a few weeks later and cancelled it. We didn't update the payment options with the new card information,
so my Gold subscription was cancelled on 26/11/2012 and this account was downgraded to Silver.

How do I resolve the outstanding balance and transfer the Gold subscription to my credit card? Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Also, my subscription is set to auto-renewal.

You can't remove a credit card while it's attached to an active gold subscription. In order to remove the card you would have to call support and have them cancel the subscription first.

You can not remove a credit card until the account it is tied to reverts to silver. You can however learn how to request cancellation of Gold, as well as turn off auto renewal here:

you cannot remove a credit card from an active gold subscription. the only thing you can do if you really want this done now is call cs and ask them to cancel your subscription and remove your credit card.

Sorry but you cannot remove a credit card while the account is in gold status. What you should do is cancel the auto renewal.

After it runs out you can easily remove the card. Otherwise you can contact support by clicking the Contact Us link in the link I provided to get more help.

you cannot delete your account. you can cancel your subscription by calling customer support and having them cancel it. when they do that they can also remove the credit card from the account. then your account will be silver instead of gold and it will
no longer have a credit card attached to it. you cannot delete it from your hard drive but the account itself will still exist on the xbl servers. if removing your credit card from the account is what you want then you will need to call in and hav ethe subscription
cancelled first then have the credit card removed. that is the only way.
