    i have purchased Xbox live gold subscription and have checked the xbox website to make sure I am a gold member. When I log into any online game it says I need to have a gold subscription even though I have already purchased one. I have restart the console
    and searched online for a solution and can't find one. Any help is appreciated.

    Xbox live Gold not recognized

    It's not a bug.

    Trials do not give you full gold status & only give you limited access to some xbox live gold features.

    Some games will not let you play online with a trial membership,you would need a full gold subscription.

    Try logging out of your profile on the console and logging back in. If that doesn't work you can also try removing the profile completely then reloading it. Let us know. Good Luck!

    Had trouble with gold for about a week and was losing my mind trying to fix the problem.

    Logging out and then logging back in worked a treat.... Much appreciated

    Try doing a hard reset on your console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
    Once it is back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

    I have the same problem and it's not even on the console, so I don't see how resetting it could help (will try it later though I suppose...)

    When I am here on the website my profile shows a current Xbox live gold subscription. There's even a link under it to go to the games with gold page and claim the games. But when I click on the link, the games page asks me to buy a gold membership in order
    to get the games... Clicking on it just takes me to the store.

    I've waited a couple of days since I put in my latest pre paid subscription code since I thought maybe there is a delay? But this seems really odd...

  12. Hi everyone!

    Sometimes the two versions of your account can take some time to sync with each other. Especially when purchasing things via xbox.com such as subscriptions.

    I would suggest clearing the cache on your console, then sign out and back in and things should resolve themselves. If your account is still not syncing then delete and recover your profile as previously said.

    To clear the cache follow these steps:

    1. Press and hold the power button on the front of the console until it powers down completely.

    2. Unplug the power cable from the back of the console so that the power brick in not connected to the console.

    3. Press the power button on the console three or four times. This will ensure that any remaining power in the battery is drained, clearing the cache on the console.

    4. Plug the power cable back into the console.

    5. Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.

    6. Turn on the console using the power button.
