Gold sharing question

If a console has one gold account and one non-gold account, and each has a game, can both accounts play both games on xbox live?

The promotional information for gold sharing only ever says that gold-account owned games are playable (with live features) by non-gold accounts on the same home console, but doesn't say anything about a non-gold account game being playable by the gold account.
It also doesn't say if the non-gold account can play its own games on live, provided there is a live account calling that console home.

Secondary question--since the xbox one manages sign-in automatically, what happens if two people are handing the controller back and forth during a multiplayer match?

All games can be played on the console. Even if it is owned by a non-gold member. The gold membership is shared throughout all users on the console.

As for the multiplayer issue, I would recommend having two controllers to avoid sign in issues as you pass the controller back and forth.

Hi in reply to your question Yes you could share gold with her but your account would have to be on her xbox and your account would have to be signed in to share xbox live. With setting the home xbox's yes you both would be able to share games if both of
you have each other xbox's set as home. You only can game share 3 times a year though.

Hello Dofusyosi,

By "Home Gold" I assume you are refering to sharing Gold status to other accounts by setting an Xbox as the "Home Xbox" through Settings > Personalization > My Home Xbox.

The gold sharing does only qualify on the Xbox that the account in question has set as it's home Xbox. Any other consoles would be unable to receive the shared Gold status, even if the profile was logged into another Console.
