Gold sharing on one Xbox problem with backward compatibilty

hey guys,

i have a problem: I have a child account(with xbox live gold) linked to my account (no xbox live gold).

Now I want to play halo reach with my account on the home xbone of my child account. How do I do this. I have signed in both profiles to the console and still it says you cant play online because of no gold membership?

Edit: even without family connection problem is still occurring. Tested two Xbox one games online. Both worked. Tested two Xbox one backward compatibilty games, message shows I have no gold.

Also: playing backward compatibilty games online with the other (former child) account works perfectly fine

To be sure we understand could you post here with the other account?

Are you seeing specific error messages when you try? If so, can you share a photo of that error screen?

Have you powered down the console, unplugged it for 5 minutes, and then tried once more?

Post back with that info and we will be here to assist with troubleshooting!

ll Xigma is the second account (which is owned by my brother). I am playing on my old account . He has gold, I don't. The error message is simply I have no active gold membership. Yes I tried restarting. Yesterday my brother and I played reach
online on our accounts via splitscreen. In that combination it worked perfectly fine. And when I tried to play solo it gives me the message of missing gold permissions. But only on backwards compatibility games. On regular Xbox one games I can play online
with that sharing feature. It only fails on x360 compatible stuff

We were not able to locate that second GT, could you double check the spelling for us to be sure?

Let's have you try the
back compat troubleshooter to be sure everything is set up and your profile has correctly downloaded onto the console.

Could you also send us your NAT type, detailed networks stats, and the MTU for the console you play on?
