GOLD MEMBERSHIP NOT WORKING

I purchased Live gold membership 1 month using my pc, it's not appearing on my xbox. i tryed what it says on other posts, deleted profile, cleared cache, restart, download profile. test connection, turn off console, wait.... I can't access live chat for
whatever reason on microsoft website. And xbox device won't allow me to manage subscriptions, it says Please wait while free app is installed. Searching... but nothing is downloading or appears in active downloads.

My son has a gold membership on his 360. I don't have a gold membership. If I add my son's profile to my new Xbox One, then it will give me gold membership as well?

as gold memberships overwrite trial memberships to give you the full gold membership

In the moment you convert your membership to ultimate your gold membership is included in that conversion, so if you cancel your ultimate membership you terminate your gold membership as well. In that case you should purchase xbox gold membership again.

Gold Membership is the old requirement to use YouTube on the Xbox. Gold Membership is also a requirement for all apps, but some, such as Netflix, will also require a subscription with them.

You don't actually need a 12-Month Gold Membership, any Gold Membership will do, and you can use apps like YouTube during the membership.
