Gold games and free games not working.

Hi, I've been a rewards member since 2013 and I had some free games from XBOX sent to me. Rewards told me to come here, I'm assuming this must be from my Gold service maybe?

Overwatch, CoD Advanced Warfare, the new Halo from last year and then a few gold games such as Bioshock etc. They aren't showing up in my games section on my xbox account but the pins and such for CoD and Overwatch are still on my XBOX but it tells me I
need a license to play. Please help. I already went to XBOX Support with this twice, luckily Marianne was kind enough to help.

I also bought Gears of War 4 during Christmas time of last year and it stopped working, says the license can't be found and it's a DISC.

Also I do have to say that the support system on XBox is very poor and disorganized, hopefully it changes soon. As of right now, I can barely play any of my games because of this.

But when I click in "buy", the price is $14 and not $0.00 as usually.

What region are you in? That link is to the Brazilian marketplace where the game is free right now, but it is not the free game in all regions.

There is no rewards promotion that we've seen which offers free games such as this. Generally you earn a percentage back on your purchases if you're in the program and you can use that currency to buy games. It's also possible that some of these are from
Gold Weekend promotions where you can try the game for free for the weekend. It's hard to say though, but you'll want to post in the Xbox Rewards section of the forums for the best assistance. There is a team specific to the rewards program that has information
specific to that aspect.

In terms of the Gears of War 4 disc issue, it sounds like the disc may be dirty or damaged and the console is having a problem reading the disc to authenticate it. Let's have you try

Rewards SENT me here. And the disc isn't dirty, I've tried everything. Also no the CoD AW, Halo etc were the full games. They weren't trials, they literally appeared in my que one day (back in 2013/2014) and now that I bought a new XBox (my Day one edition
croaked) it can't find all the old licenses. And some of my gold games that I DID download they won't let me use them because it asks for licenses. Help?

 

That's usually a sign that someone else had your console set as their Home console. So you would have been automatically downloading anything they purchases. Games generally don't just show up otherwise.

 

Yeah, no. I've never shared my console with anyone before. It was working fine on my old XBox One from 2013, and the minute I got a new one nothing worked. There's proof of those games on my account too, I should be able to be credited for the license. I'm
not spending one more penny on this to be honest. The day one fried even though it was carefully taken care of. I can't play any of my games that I had online, not even Gold and those I have downloaded on a back up drive too.

Also I NEVER have received money/points/credits from rewards, I got free games instead. Just recently, a few months ago I started getting money.

The Rewards program has never given out games unless they were for a specific event like Christmas. They've always given either points or Rewards credits that are deposited as currency. If you purchased the games using the currency you receive from the program,
it would show on the billing site. The only other way to get the games for free is through Games with Gold or by someone else setting your console as their Home console (which is what it definitely sounds like). If you had any friends over they could have
set it that way without realizing it or someone could have purchased the console you had, set it as their Home, then returned it and the retailer resold it. You would download everything they would without their account needing to be on your console.

 

No, it was brand new. I got it day ONE. No one had purchased it and I'm the only person in my house that plays video games. It was entirely weird. Also that link is useless it only shows me the last three months even if I hit 'SHOW ALL'. I need it to go
back to 2013 and forward. None of my friends touch my xbox, trust me lol. So all of that is moot.

 

then how far ago did you make the games purchases

And as support and smuwtches mentioned there was no rewards for those games except to buy them and get a percentage baxk

Myself and smwutches has been around since games with gold and Xbox rewards program since the start and I have been arohnd since the Xbox original console

There is no such rewards or programs you are talking about nor will anyone give you such a reward

And they were never on games with gold

 

the old licenses won't appear unless you are signed in the acount that had it

There is no rewards program like you described nor was they ever offered

Games aren't removed unless the publisher revokes the licenses

However those games are still in print

I still have the original Xbox 360 games licenses

Xbox rewards doesn't offer any free games

Xbox games with gold or sometimes ms does offer a free arcade game

Separate from games with gold none of thme are the ones you described the last one was thief

So you are going to have to track down who had access to your console

 

HHalo 5 and aw were never on the games with gold or rewards other then promotioms

Your pins would also work on someone else's home.console.sertimg until they reset it

Which sounds like the case

Which revokes your console license

The license issue for gears sounds like it's dirty or corrupt data

You will have to recover your acount and reinstall the game from disk

The rewards nor games with gold give out those games that recent

You would be waiting at least a couple.years

Only exception was the random sweepstakes at launch that some people won free consolea and got a set of Games which none of them fit your titles especially since halp5 and aw weren't launched titles

 

None of this is helping at all. Is there anyone higher I can go to? Corporate? A boss of yours or are you a volunteer on here? NO ONE has been on my console. The end. I'm logged into my account, I need the records from 2013, NOT the last three months. That's
useless. As is this support section. You guys really need to get your act together here, this is embarrassing for Microsoft. It's pretty bad that I had to buy an entirely new console because the old one fried. I wasted 300 bucks.

You are going to have to ask your own family where the games came from

Purchase history goes beyond 3months that's your complete history

Anything that was officially purchased would be in your ready to install

Support is official ms even higher then any phone support agent you had access too over the phone there is no one on the phone that you would have been able to call that is highrr

They are tier 3 agents from ms

Who you were talking to is my guess is a teir 2 agent or manager who would send the case to tier 3 for investigation which is official ms

Again since there was nno such program as you described noone can help you not even Sony nor nintendo have such prograns
