    Gold game installed via disc


    The current free game with gold is saints row the third, i got a loan of the game disc from a friend to install on my harddrive as it would save about 2-3 hours of downloading. Where do i go from here to get a licence to play the game? Currently asking me
    to insert game disc to play. Xbox live member for as long as i can remember.

    How can I claim Games wtih Gold games I already downloaded via Game pass?

    I already installed Metal Gear Solid 5 via Game Pass.

    It is currently only "installed", not "owned".

    If I want to "own" it, via Games with Gold, I have to pay $19.99.

    I can get other games via Games with Gold without any problems, as long as I had not already downloaded them via Game Pass.

    This may have also happened when I "claimed" Superhot when it was in Games with Gold.

    I still have Superhot via Games with Gold, but I fear that when Superhot is no longer in Game Pass, I will no longer have access to it?

    I deleted Superhot and re-downloaded it via Games with Gold at the time, but it is only "installed" and not "owned".

    I do not want to do that again for Metal Gear Solid 5 if it will not fix the issue.

    I hope downloading a game via Games Pass does not mean I can never own it if offered via "Games with Gold".

    My console is in Preview Beta -- I do not know if that is part of the problem or not.

    Does this mean I own the game via Games with Gold or not?

    It does appear under the Installed section of Gold. This means I own this game via GwG?

    Sorry but if you want to play the game without a disc you will need to download it from the marketplace.

    Yep, on 360 the download and disc installations are not the same, ie if you install from disc you will need to play via disc and if you want to play without the disc you will need to download it.

    What you will need to do is delete the file currently on your hard drive, then go to the Marketplace and download Saints Row: The Third in order to get the licence and the ability to play it discless.

    Yep, on 360 the download and disc installations are not the same, ie if you install from disc you will need to play via disc and if you want to play without the disc you will need to download it.

    What you will need to do is delete the file currently on your hard drive, then go to the Marketplace and download Saints Row: The Third in order to get the licence and the ability to play it discless.

    Bad Company 2 is FREE October 2014 games with gold

    Might get the games with gold version even though I have the disc. Then its a install without the disc install. If you know what I mean. Then no need for the disc in the trey with the games with gold free version.

    Take the disc out install the game via the xbox app on your phone, then insert the disc to launch the game.

    Same with my GTA5 disc, dunno if is a defect on the disc but it refuses to install.
