Gold Downloads.

hello everyone, I just want to say I like the games for gold idea, but I don't like the fact we can't pick the games and or DLC we want to have for free, so with that being said can we change games for gold so that we can pick the two free games we want
every 30 or so days/?

this would make it easier to play with our friends, and could be used on both xbox360 and xbox one.

now clearly if we do go with the DLC downloads we can't get DLC bundles like season passes bundled content. I just think it would be better if we as consumers had a choice on what we could download, giving use a feeling of freedom, if that makes any kind logical
sense

But yeah can we as gold members pick what free two free items we want?

I bought a download code for Ori and the blind forest and downloaded it to the system without Gold

If u have gold download the games for gold or buy ea access for £20 a year and about 7 full games to keep 4 length of ea access

 

I think to raise the bar Ms should put out a list middle of the month to let people vote for the selected games they want to play. 5 games and 5 indie games. Place this in the place where they stuck a ads. I would have done this along time ago but guess
im smarter than ms

 

I agree with Floorboss...voting would be a much better idea.

 

I see what you mean but never in a million years would we see the entire digital library (Games not DLC/season passes etc), available for free OP.

I mean for us to choose which we want out of all the full games available. Most would go for AAA titles or new games and that's a loss of sales/revenue.

I think it will always be restricted to titles at least a few years old.

But I really like the idea of voting out of a selection of available titles. It will never please everyone of course. There have been months I thought the free games were really good. (Darksiders 2 this month is a good example). But other months I thought
the titles were poor.

All down to individual taste I guess. But yes sorry I digress, the voting idea sounds tops.

 

I like the voting idea, but if something like that is implemented, it'll be something like Microsoft saying to the community "hey guys.
We got deals to offer these games for free via GWG at some point in the future. On a scale of 1-5, tell us which order you would like these." and they'll decide on order after how many votes come in.

You have a choice already. This month, you can choose to download Chariot or don't download it. I've chosen the latter.

 

Well with the Exception to Eggogga's post, I like the replies everyone has given so far and this is kinda what I wanted from this from post, and so far the idea of voting sounds great, but I do like what gray said with us picking a free game as well and
makes a very good point. people would pick AAA titles or the newest games that came out, so with that being said lets make it so that

A: we can vote on what games we can pick for free.

Or

B: we can pick the two we want as long as it's a game that older then 1/2 to 3/4 of a year old or older.

^^ Unfortunately for you, my post is the only realistic one in here. (At least for the near future... and when I say near future, at least one more year down the road.)

 

Its not gonna happen. They have to negotiate contracts for said games to appear on GFG. They can't just start giving away any game they or you might want for free.

 

To beatmmb: I'm sure that contracts had already been done for each of the games that had been free from Microsoft (seeing how a few of them aren't from Microsoft game studios).

In a nutshell all they would be doing is making multiple contracts to Dev-teams and or others like sony and sega.

and true chances are the games up their aren't going to be AAA games (well maybe a few).

But in short if they did give us a list of games and or dlc we could pick from it would be good for not only microsft, but for anyone who does give out a free game that people may like or even like to this day.
