    So my brother received a code for gold for christmas. Its a 12 month subscription purchased from eb games. The problem is he got grease on the receipt that has the code and I tried to restore it but im still missing the very last five digits. Im not sure
    if theres anything that can be done about this such as recovering the code or anything. If it helps, the id# below the activation code is still legible.

    You would need to talk to EB games. There pretty good about this, especially since you still have the receipt. Anything bought through a third party has to be handled by the same people.

    MS Customer Support might be able to assist, I would reach out to them. You could also ask EB Games if they can reissue the receipt.
