u see TROOPER and 24 i sleep from 7am till 4pm when i get up my kids are watching tv and we have dinner i dont get on my xbox till 8pm two hours before work and live was down so i couldnt go on

 

I wonder if it is regional? I cannot remember the last time I had issues with XBL...

I'm in Australia by the way....

 

NZ, been fine for me too. Sometimes it's regional, sometimes it affects everyone. If Xbox 1 servers are down, try Xbox 360 cuz Xbox 360 runs on different Xbox Live servers. Someone was telling peps that Azure servers are very reliable. Just think of the
millions of dollars Microsoft will spend on bringing 2 data centres to Australia. A building with fire suppression and which houses the servers and stuff.

 

I think in this case it was more the UK/EU that got bit the hardest, as that time is when many would of been at home and wanting to play.

A lot of threads annoyed me last night, people wanted a moan because the service was down they pay for.... and that's fine. But then certain people came along making out people are "crying". Now its obvious the people that were "not bothered" were either
at work or just not going to play at that time of day.

people don't realise that it wasn't just a few hours downtime, Its more like a day for a lot of European's and Britain's because it was the only time they would of got to play that day.

I lost My temper in the other thread because of patronising morons. I don't plan on doing it here...... Just would like people to understand, it affects regions differently and it was a big deal to some even if those sat at work couldn't see that.

 

Current time in NZ is Friday 18 July 9:09 pm. I tested it 7-8MB/s down 0.9MB/s up all services are up but I have 100% packet loss and the Dashboard doesn't list my ping result, it's just -blank-. I'll try running thru the test tomorrow morning. In NZ we
get high pings around 200 sometimes 187 sometimes more mainly cuz the US is a l o n g way away from Australia and NZ. Great to see Microsoft bringing two data centres to Australia to help us over here.

Great thing about Xbox Live is even if you live in NZ and Australia you can connect talk and play with peps on the other side of the world. I've seen several threads on here during the past 2 days regarding connection. I can understand if you over-react
and Xbox Live servers are down for MORE than 24 hours.

I ran the test again right now still 100% packet loss and a blank result next to ping. This is abnormal last time I was on my Xbox 1 console was 3 days ago and everything was fine. Might run thru the test tomorrow. Current NZ time Friday 9:48 pm. Give M
some time to correct some stuff. I was late to the party I saw some connection threads so thought I'd check it out. Goatsnatcher are you Australian?

Not sure how widespead or lasting the problem was for everyone else, for me I couldn't sign in for 20mins then it all went back to normal, was no big deal. I'm in the UK.

One thing did concern me is the system STOPPED working... I couldn't use any apps (games still worked), snap or any other UI features until I hard rebooted the console, even then lots of stuff was slow and glitchy.

It's the first time my X1 was offline, I was extermely shocked at how poor the console opererates without the internet.
