Goal kicker and goal keeper————-

My idea involves a screen that shows a footballer standing at the penalty spot ready to kick the ball into the goalmouth, which is divided into nine equal squares, and a goalkeeper standing in front of the goalmouth ready to save the ball.

At the other end of the XBOX link, the person who plays the goalkeeper simply sees a footballer ready to take the penalty shot with the nine squares superimposed over the screen and therefore this person simply waits for penalty taker to kick the ball.

There needs to be a slight time lag built into the game so that although the goalkeeper can see the ball being struck and also at which square the ball is aimed at, the time lag built into the game will not allow the person acting out the role of the goalkeeper to react in order to press a number between 1 & 9 in order to save the ball, until ball is already on its way.

The time lag could be built into the game so that the players could select a time lag that is adjusted for different levels of play which means that a short period of delay before the goalkeeper can react would be easier to save the ball than the longest period of delay.

In essence, this means that only those players with very fast reflexes would be able to save the ball whilst playing this game with the longest delay.

This is a game that could be made up of divisions, where the top players in each division moves upwards to play more advanced players.
