That's some clickbait title. Nowhere did it say the press had to be positive. It said it cant be negative. Now there is a huge difference here. Showing some DR gameplay and saying a new DLC is coming out soon wouldve sufficed for this and thats just normal
gaming news.

Let's search out some more possible negativity and get in on the front page..smh.

So MS may have something going on with one company and looking at the rest of the shills and other big gaming sites, Sony are paying just about everyone else. So the news is what exactly? MS starts to play the competition at their own game?

When it comes to console choice. Its about the Games/media, Controller and UI for me, anything else is white noise. This nonsense is getting as bad as politics. I wonder how long it'll be before the rules of not discussing Religion/Politics at soicial events
are amended to include. 'Games Consoles'. Ridiculous.

I think what people are missing and why this is annoying people is the fact that in the clause people are not allowed to disclose that they are being paid by MS not to say anything negative (only neutral or positive mentions and you can't tell people that
you are getting paid for this). That is why it's bad. And if Sony or some other company is doing it, instead of justifying it by saying they are doing it, why not get angry at them too?

People saying its just promotion or advertising are missing the point.

It was in the contract that they were not allowed to disclose the fact that they were being paid by Microsoft.

It was in the contract that they were not allowed to say anything negative.

It was in the contract that they had to say something positive.

That is what is wrong.

Hey guys

I'm not going to smack a padlock on this thread or remove any comments but lets get this back on track. This is about the news article for Xbox One, I haven't read the article so I have no idea what its depth or clarity is but I do know that it wasn't about
the PS4. So lets put that discussion aside and make this about Xbox One, the discussion point that was set by the author.

I see toooooo many PS4 digs the minute a good or bad thing is said about anything Xbox. Comparison threads never tend to end well and they usually go for pages on end. Which I know a lot of you are tired of seeing. So from this post forth, lets keep it strictly
on topic with the Xbox One and that news article. Many thanks, if you have any problems or questions please either report the thread or feel free to PM me via clicking the envelope at the foot on my post.

The outrageous indignation over a non issue like this is laughable. Companies promoting their own product are guilty of far worse than this. A few people got paid to promote a product and couldn't disclose the fact. Where we're all you warriors for right
when other companies (not mentioned, but you know who) were being accused of running sweatshop like factories in order to bring you your electronics. Morality and ethics are not subjective right??? Lol...

Exactly my thoughts.

Whatever is posted, something a little negative ( even though I don't class this particular story as a negative ) about either console, straight away someone has to post something negative about the "other" console, it's almost as if their EGO got hurt and
they have to fire back, sorry but it just comes across as so childish.

Anyway, I don't mean to sound like I'm having a go at anyone in particular but like Mr Spuds has said here, it seems we can't have a decent conversation about anything these days without it turning into some sort of .. "Console Vs Console" .. "debate"
